Hello, My Name is Becca...

I describe myself as an artist who explores freedom throughout my art work, never limiting myself to a certain style of material, often choosing the material I want to work with in the moment. I enjoy taking a medium that I once wasn’t good at and practicing and improving until I am satisfied, such as water colours, crochet, and clay. I enjoy learning techniques and methods to allow me to improve with these materials. My work can vary from gothic and grungy to cartoon and colour, with inspiration from traditional style tattoos to 90’s cartoons.

While once a perfectionist in my artwork, I moved away from this, and focus my artwork on what makes me feel good while creating the piece.

These attributes not only work efficiently when producing art for myself but also when facilitating workshops with others. The freedom of being able to adapt my style and choice of material allows for a person centred approach throughout the workshops, which is an important element to me.

More about my own work and participatory work can be found in the sections provided.
